The reporting framework
Twelve questions a mission field must answer
A dashboard reports numbers. A mission-field profile uses evidence to address a defined set of questions. These domains establish what each report should cover and the order in which leaders should consider it.
- 01PeopleWho lives here now?
- 02ChangeWho is moving in or out, and how quickly is the community changing?
- 03Families & SchoolsWhat do children, households, schools, languages, and student needs reveal?
- 04Culture & LifestyleHow do life stage, household type, language, values, and psychographic segments differ across the area?
- 05FaithWhat is the religious landscape, and how is it changing?
- 06Economy & WorkWhere do people work, what industries drive the area, and what economic pressures affect households?
- 07HousingCan families afford to live here, and where is new development occurring?
- 08Health & NeedWhere are health, food, financial, social, and vulnerability needs concentrated?
- 09MovementHow do people commute and how does daytime population differ from residents?
- 10FutureWhere will population, housing, transportation, and employment growth likely occur next?
- 11Church PresenceWhere are churches located, what populations do they serve, and where may ministry or church-planting gaps exist?
- 12ActionWhat ministry questions and strategic opportunities emerge from the evidence?
